Definition
Network where participating sites display button ads in exchange for
credits which are converted (using a predetermined exchange rate) into
ads to be displayed on other sites.
Information
Button exchanges are similar to banner exchanges in all ways except the smaller
size of the graphical advertisements. Button exchanges generally lack the large-scale
membership numbers of their banner counterparts. As a result, they tend to come
and go, with few becoming household names. Some niche exchanges, particularly
webmaster related, have used the micro-button (88x31) effectively. While small
in size, the micro-buttons allow a site to earn more views (and credits) per page.
